Overview 

A directory listing is inappropriately exposed, yielding potentially sensitive information to attackers.

 

Products Affected 

Pentaho Business Analytics Server versions before 9.3.0.0, 9.2.0.2 and 8.3.0.25 impacted.

 

Description 

Pentaho Business Analytics Server versions before 9.3.0.0, 9.2.0.2 and 8.3.0.25 do not cascade the hidden property to the children of the Home folder. 

 

Impact 

A directory listing provides an attacker with the complete index of all the resources located inside of the directory. The specific risks and consequences vary depending on which files are listed and accessible. 

 

Action  

We recommend you upgrade to the Pentaho version 9.3 release or newer. For version 9.2 and 8.3 we recommend updating to Service Packs 9.2.0.2/8.3.0.25 or above where this vulnerability is addressed.
