The product specifies permissions for a security-critical resource in a way that allows that resource to be read or modified by unintended actors. (CWE-732)

Pentaho Data Integration and Analytics prior to versions 10.2.0.6 and 11.0.0.0

 

Description

Pentaho Data Integration & Analytics versions before 10.2.0.6 and 11.0.0.0 do not apply ACLs on certain API endpoints related to platform mail notifications.

 

Impact

An attacker could gain access to mail configuration of the platform and add, update and delete email notifications configured by the administrators.

 

Action  

We recommend you upgrade to the latest Pentaho Data Integration & Analytics release or Service Pack where this vulnerability is addressed.
