Overview

The product transmits or stores authentication credentials, but it uses an insecure method that is susceptible to unauthorized interception and/or retrieval. (CWE-522)

Pentaho Data Integration & Analytics versions before 10.1.0.0

 

Description 

Pentaho Data Integration & Analytics versions before 10.1.0.0 discloses database passwords when searching metadata injectable fields. 

 

Impact 

Products must not disclose sensitive information without cause. Disclosure of sensitive information can lead to further exploitation. 

 

Action  

We recommend you upgrade to the latest Pentaho Data Integration & Analytics release or Service Pack where this vulnerability is addressed.
